In the US, some thirteen per cent of pregnant women drink during pregnancy. Binge drinking or even drinking frequently leads to alcohol triggered damage to babies dear. Every time a pregnant woman drinks, alcohol finds its way immediately swiftly through placenta to her foetus. Drinking alcohol in pregnancy may cause mental retardation, emotional, learning, and behavioral difficulties and heart, face and other defects. As per research no level of drinking alcohol is safe during pregnancy. The effects of moderate to light drinking during pregnancy are more subtle.

Researchers have even determined that children whose mothers drank any amount of alcohol during pregnancy were over three times as likely as unexposed children to exhibit.
There is no treatment for fetal alcohol syndrome. Mothers are requested to note that during nursing babies dear, alcohol intake is again harmful.
