Premature Ovarian Syndrome

This affects the capacity of the ovaries to produce follicle. Chromosomal abnormalities also affects the capacity of the ovaries to produce eggs. With an absence of eggs, there remains no possibility for a woman to conceive.

The symptoms of this disease could be traced to the following factors. A few factors have been mentioned below, which are:
  • Irregular periods
  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Sleep problems
  • Irritability
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Loss of energy
A woman can be provided help in the form of medical treatment. However, the fact remains that the women loses her chances to have baby in a normal way. Women suffering from this problem, can expect to become pregnant, only after taking recourse to treatment.

The most common form of treatment for the Premature Ovarian Syndrome, is the treatment known as the hormone replacement therapy. This helps to replenish the hormonal supplies, in a women. Once estrogen and progesterone are successfully supplied to the body, a women starts menstruating. Hormone tablets and even birth control pills are prescribed to a women, in order to bring up the levels of estrogen and progesterone, in her body.

In fact, in vitro fertilization and even the use of a donor egg have helped women to conceive.
