Kegels exercise is mostly helpful for pregnant women as it helps them stay healthy even during pregnancy and prevents the aspect of pelvic muscle weakening during pregnancy.

Doctors mostly prescribe that women should avoid exercising after the first trimester which requires them to lie on their backs. During pregnancy women are advised not to attempt at doing jumping or bouncing exercises which also includes jarring, and leaping exercises. This increases the chances abdominal injury. Few other exercises to avoid during pregnancy include the likes of skiing, scuba diving and riding on horseback as these kind of exercises expose the mother's and infant's health to numerous risks.
