Growth hormones inside the body are made even more active by the effect of puberty hormones. After the body achieves the stage of puberty, it starts growing at a fast rate. Along with the external growth in the body of the adolescent boys and girls, the internal organs also undergo a process of growth. The rate of growth of human body is maximum during the first two to three years of puberty. Some of the adolescent boys or girls grow up to four inches in a year during this period of their lives.

Apart from certain sexual changes inside the body of the adolescents, the Puberty Hormones also helps the body in gaining weight. The menstrual period of girls start at this stage of their life. At that period the larynx of the boys also get developed and the voice of the boys start cracking down.
During this period body hair of a boy also starts growing. The facial hair of boys also starts growing during this time.
