Problems in pregnancy due to hypertension
In the worst cases the pregnant patient who suffers from chronic hypertension develops a gestational hypertension during pregnancy. This combined hypertension and gestational hypertension can lead to several problems during pregnancy. In gensationnal hypertension the fetus is seen as a hostile tissue graft reaction most probably due to the immunological rejection of pregnancy. This can lead to death of fetus as well as of the pregnant patient. Hypertension in pregnancy can also lead to seizure.
Treatment of hypertension during pregnancy
Some patients many suffer from chronic hypertension and during pregnancy some may also suffer from gestational hypertension or pregnancy induced hypertension. Combined hypertension is also a big medical problem for pregnant women. These problems can be dealt with proper treatment.
The treatment for combined hypertension and pregnancy induced hypertension or gestational is very difficult. Chroic hypertension can be easily managed during pregnancy. Proper diagnosis, management and use of anti-hypertensive drug can reduce the extremity of the problem.
