Often human body is able to fight such diseases with the effect of their immunity power. During the time of pregnancy the immunity power of women gets reduced. Moreover, the child inside the womb of the mother also gets infection from the disease the mother got infected with. This is the time when the fetus is most vulnerable to the infectious diseases. At that time even a minor infection can prove to be fatal for the unborn child. The Pregnancy Vaccines create a shield for the mother and the children.

The major role of the Pregnancy Vaccines is to create protective antibodies for the infectious disease attacking the human body from outside. The vaccine itself contains a tiny amount of the microbes of the infectious disease it is supposed to protect you from. But that little amount of organism went inside the body in the form of vaccine do not harm the body. After taking the oral vaccine or injection the person does not fall ill. There are two major types of vaccines for the pregnant women. Some of the vaccines contain live organism and the other contain organisms that have been inactivated. In cases of the vaccination process of the pregnant women the vaccines containing live organism are not preferred.

There are risks for the human body of getting certain diseases from the vaccines, but the benefits of such vaccines almost always outweigh the demerits. So, it is necessary to get vaccinated for the benefit of both, the child and the mother. You have to take certain vaccines during pregnancy, while you cannot avoid the obvious effect of those. So it is necessary to discuss with the doctor regarding the right time of vaccination before getting vaccinated. Hepatitis B, Tetanus, Influenza, Rabies, and Meningococcal are the diseases against which you should get yourself vaccinated during pregnancy. Vaccines for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, LAIV, BCG are certain vaccine you should avoid during pregnancy.
