Baby Development in the Womb

Baby Development in the Womb have been subjected to extensive speculation and research. Modern biological studies conducted all over the globe reveal that Baby Development in the Womb can be broadly divided into three distinct stages. Baby Development in the Womb begins as soon as a woman conceives a sperm within her womb. Gradually the sperm in contact with the ovum take the shape of a zygote. The zygote then proceeds to form a fetus before it is finally released by the womb as a full grown infant. Baby Development in the Womb takes place for almost 280 days or 40 weeks. This long period of gestation may be divided into three broad based phases.

First Phase of Baby Development in the Womb

The first phase of Baby Development in the Womb begins from the day the lady has conceived. During this stage the zygote formed with the combination of sperm and ovum, undergoes simple cell division. During this rapid cell division the cells organize themselves in three different layers. As soon as the cells form into a cluster they get stuck with the walls of the womb. The wall of the uterus by this time begins its preparation for the formation of the placenta and the amnion. The first phase of Baby Development in the Womb is also known as the Pre-embryonic stage.

Second Phase of Baby Development in the Womb

Also referred to as the Embryonic stage, this stage continues for as long as five and a half weeks. During this time the organs of the body are formed and given proper shape. The cell layers distinctly reveal the heart, stomach and other organs of the human body during his time. Regular check up and ultrasonography helps in monitoring the growth of the baby during this time.

Third Phase of Baby Development in the Womb

The Third stage is the final stage of human development. This phase begins around the eighth week and continues till the baby is finally born. Also known as the Fetal stage the third stage is the most important stage in the Baby Development in the Womb. Initially the human fetus is only 3 cm long but it soon increases in length. Ultrasonographic reports of the fetus during this stage shows a clear formation of the human brain, veins and limbs. This period lasts for thirty weeks and is the longest phase of Baby Development in the Womb
