Some of the various problems that might develop in the mother after the baby’s birth include:
The mother may develop cramps in her stomach, especially while breast-feeding as the womb contracts to its normal size.
It is normal to pass more urine in the first few days, as the body loses the extra fluid acquired during pregnancy.
The mother may experience vaginal bleeding for two to six weeks, but this stops more quickly if she is breast-feeding.
She may need not empty her bowels for a day or more after the birth.
Stitches will dissolve in about a week; external ones may fall out.
The first period after birth is often longer and heavier than natural. If you are breast-feeding, your periods may not start until after your baby is weaned.
So that the women gets back her normal health as fast as possible and as smoothly as possible, going for a regular Post-natal Medical Care visit is really necessary.
