Pregnancy in 10th week means it is the final stage of the first time period. At this stage, the woman has completed two and half months of pregnancy. By the tenth week, pregnancy is fully confirmed and you need to take proper care from this time onwards. The first trimester of pregnancy is very important for the child. He or she develops at a very fast rate and the mothers need to be extra cautious during pregnancy in 10th week. The pregnant woman needs to visit a gynecologist, midwife or hospital regularly from this week onwards. You also need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Taking balanced diet, proper workout and positive outlook will help you to remain healthy and fit.

Development of baby in 10th week of pregnancy: At the 10th week of pregnancy, the baby looks like a kidney bean in size. During this stage the baby is nearly 1.25 inches to 1.68 inches and approximately weighs 5 grams. For the last 9 weeks the baby has grown enormously. The 10th week is often considered as the milestone period of the development of the body. All the body parts have developed by this time and the baby keeps on increasing in size. The fingers and toes, which took a web like appearance in the ninth week of pregnancy, are completely separated during this period.

The brain also starts to develop at a fast pace during the 10th week. New neurons are produced at the rate of quarter a million per minute. In case of babies who are male, the testes started producing male hormone known as testosterone. The taste buds and tooth are formed at this stage.

Changes in body during pregnancy in 10th week: The secretion of estrogen and the progesterone hormones are increased at this stage. It ultimately leads to the swelling or tenderness of the breast. The pregnant woman can experience a tingling sensation in the breasts. Fatigue and tiredness are the common symptoms that a pregnant woman faces during this period. Vomiting sensation, nausea, dizziness, mild headache and morning sickness are also felt. The hormonal changes lead to mood swings. Abdominal cramping and pains are also felt my many women.

Motherhood is the most challenging as well as happy period of a woman’s life. Eat healthy and balanced diet, have lots of fruits and follow a regular exercise to keep yourself and your baby fit. Maintain a positive frame of mind and remain in a happy mood so that your baby can remain healthy.
