Pregnancy in 21st Week is the time when one is half way through the pregnancy. This is a comfortable phase because during this time the baby has grown to an extent. Another reason why this phase is considered comfortable is that the initial problems of nausea, dizziness and fatigue reduces greatly. Exercises can be done during this time as this keeps the mind and body fit. The best way to exercise while pregnancy in 21 st week is by swimming, yoga, walking. It is always advisable to be active during pregnancy. However heavy exercises and activity that can cause strain should be avoided.

The development of the baby in pregnancy in 21st week is rapid. There is blood circulation all through the body of the baby. The digestive system of the baby matures and contractions in the intestines take place inside the baby. The size of the baby grows as the umbilical cord supplies more blood and nutrients to the fetus. The umbilical cord also thickens with the increase in supply. The size of the baby and the placenta is almost equal with the development of the baby. Another remarkable development in the baby in the 21 week pregnancy is that it swallows the amniotic fluid that makes the digestive system to mature easily. There are hiccups experienced by the baby and can be felt when there are repetitive and small movements in the abdomen.

The baby has fully developed all the sense organs when pregnant in 21st week. There are tests to show that it can hear all the singing, talking and readings of the mother. The weight of the baby during this phase of pregnancy is approximately 10.5 ounces. As the baby grows within, there are changes in the mother as well. Gaining of weight is very common during this time. Cramps and pain in the legs become intense during this time. There are certain remedies that can be used to reduce the pains and cramps when they occur. Pregnancy pillows and maternity support belts are used by most women so that the discomfort is reduced. One is advised to wear loose fitting clothes as they are comfortable and facilitates breathing to a great extent.

Pregnancy in 21st week has women complaining of heart burn, dizziness, nausea, breathlessness and many more. Water retention is a common problem that leads to the swelling of the body but the water intake must not be reduced. Pregnant women must take in lots of healthy food and water. Doctors must be consulted at regular intervals and in case there are severe discomforts, the necessary checkups must be done. Stress related activities must be avoided during this time.
