Pregnancy in 27th Week marks the beginning of the third trimester. This stage will remind you that you are nearing the delivery date. The expectant mother can experience various symptoms such as leg cramps, back pains, constipation and frequent urination. Do not take greasy or fried foods. Healthy and balanced diet is required to maintain a good health. Include fruits and fresh vegetables in your diet. Take foods which are rich in high protein and calcium. The vitamins and minerals, which are recommended to you must not be overlooked. It will give you strength, protect your body and develop resistance power.

Development of baby during 27th week of pregnancy: Pregnancy in 27th week shows immense development in the baby. The baby at this phase is nearly 14.5 inches and approximately weighs 2 pounds. The skin of the baby is wrinkled at this phase because he or she is floating in water. The wrinkling disappears when the baby is born. The normal layers of the retina is developed. These layers help in the reception of the images and the information is transmitted to the brain for analysis. By this stage the baby also develops sleeping and waking patterns. This may not coincide with the mothers sleeping cycle. The baby is also able to breathe properly and may experience frequent hiccups as the lungs are developing.

Changes in body during 27th week of pregnancy: The body of the pregnant woman needs nearly 300 to 350 extra calories per day during this stage. You may gain weight from this week till the 37th week of pregnancy. Do not indulge in dieting. Take healthy and balanced diet to maintain good health. Keep an eye on your weight gain. If you are gaining excessive weight or ginning low weight, visit your doctor for advice. You also need to drink lots of water to avoid premature delivery.

You can enroll for different childbirth classes during pregnancy in 27th week. That way, you will be able to complete your classes one month before the delivery date.

It is normally advisable to enroll for these classes because you will get to learn different light exercises, which will help you to relax. The woman may find it difficult to do the regular household chores. Do not hesitate to ask for help from your partner or family members. It is best to avoid lifting heavy things or to take part in risky activities. Proper sleep and healthy lifestyle is very much required. Visit the doctor on a regular basis.
